Precision in-line cutting of extruded profiles and tubing requires a very high degree of co-ordination between the extrudate and the flyknife. ESI has focused on this relationship for years in improving the system responsiveness and eliminating program scan times effect. Our strong background in motion control, utilized on all of our ASC series, has allowed us to stay at the forefront in cutting technology. Having a stable puller is crucial to the consistency of the profile size and allows an even tighter relationship between the motion of the flyknife blade and the extrudate.

From our inception ESI has been an industry leader in the design and manufacture of precision in line cutting equipment and offers the widest range of puller-cutters in the industry. ESI puller-cutter combinations are offered with a variety of choices in drive configurations, cutter torques and speeds and control systems. All ESI puller-cutters feature our unique quick change, self-aligning bushing system, allowing cut bushing changeover in seconds without the use of tools. From our economical, low maintenance SPC models, to our industry leading HAPC series of high precision, servo controlled puller-cutters; ESI provides puller-cutter models designed to meet the requirements of your specific cutting application.

High Accuracy Puller-Cutter

ESI has developed our industry leading HAPC line of flycutting equipment which has produced in-line cut accuracy standard deviations of 0.002" at stop start cut rates of 650 cuts-per-minute. Our HAPC includes individual intelligent servomotors and drives for each belt of the puller and for the flyknife cutter.  The 3-axis, solid state servo programmable controller along with integrated touch screen operator interface display panel offers system cycle rate capability of 750 cuts-per-minute in 'On-Demand' mode, 2000 cuts-per-minute in 'Camming' mode and up to 3000 cuts-per-minute in 'Continuous' mode. ASC (Advanced Servo Control) Puller-Cutter

ESI's dual servo puller-cutters are designed to meet a wide range of in-line flycutting of plastic and rubber tubings and profiles. Precision in-line cutting of extruded profiles and tubing requires the extrudate to be presented to the cutter at a consistent rate. Our dual servo puller-cutter unit includes a fully programmable motion controller, color touchscreen, servomotors for both puller & cutter. System offers a cut length accuracy of +/- .010" with electronic camming of blade motion to achieve peak blade speed at any cut rate up to 1000 cuts per minute and a continuous cut mode of up to 1800 cuts-per-minute.

ESI's servo puller-cutters are designed to meet a wide range of in-line flycutting of plastic and rubber tubings and profiles. Precision in-line cutting of extruded profiles and tubing requires the extrudate to be presented to the cutter at a consistent rate. ESI puller with integrated servo cutter unit offers a cut length accuracy of +/- .030" with an on-demand 400 cuts-per-minute capability.  Units are available with larger servomotors for increased cutting torque, cutter head slide adjustments, larger diameter bushings, blade lubrication and fully caged puller assemblies.
